WhY SUPPORT CLLARO?

CLLARO is a 53-year-old Latino-serving nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower Latinos through leadership development, advocacy, and research to strengthen Colorado in order to realize a vision of a Colorado where Latinos are achieving their fullest potential.

What are CLLARO’s current areas of focus for policy advocacy?
– Educational Equity –
– Health and the Social Determinants of Health –
– Issues that affect the Aging Population –
What does CLLARO do?

CLLARO develops Latino/a student leaders through our Capitol Fellowship Program who learn about the legislative process and provide insightful policy analysis throughout their time in the Capitol, with a focus on CLLARO’s policy research priorities and any other issue that is impacting Latinos in Colorado.

CLLARO’s Policy & Research Committee then uses that information to create research projects in order to develop data-driven policy recommendations.

The results of CLLARO’s research inform our advocacy training programming to ensure that community leaders have the training they need and are armed with good data so that they can use their own voice and advocate for their communities.
